Futsal is today the fastest growing sport in the world, it plays a major role in youth development in South american countries as well as many European, Asian and African countries now.
In these countries Futsal has become part of the curriculum in schools so it is played from a very young age up till professional level.
Why Futsal?
Many people think Futsal is just another sport which can not be related to 11 aside football, because it is played indoors and five is the minimum number of players for a team.
If I was to try to describe Futsal, I would say it is a very technical, tactical, fast and intense game. It is like a game of chess in a sense.
Players think faster and wiser in order to score and not to concede goals. It enhances the technical side of all players also because each player will touch the ball many more times compared to 11 aside. The ball is heavier than a normal football so it encourages the players to keep it on the floor and develop familiarity with the ball using their feet.
Our Futsal Elite program is developed and endorsed by the current Brazilian National coach Marcos Sorato, he won the Futsal World Cup with Brazil and many other titles across Europe and Brazil.
Age groups (subject to ability level and understanding of the game)
7 - 11 yrs old Tuesday 4:45 to 5:45pm
12 - 13 yrs old Tuesday 5:45 to 6:45pm
14 - 16 yrs old Thursday 5:00 to 6:30pm
The core of the program is to encourage kids to develop:
1). Confidence.
2). Improve their technical ability.
3). Tactical ability (age appropriate)
4). Mental attributes.
and finally to enjoy the most dynamic and fun sport that is Futsal.
